LYMPHOCYTOSIS : what's the prognosis ??

I have a semi adult imperator with lympho on one of his swim fins and also at the very end of his tail...I was allways told this was not a big deal and will clear up with time & healthy tank conditions...that was back in the
90's ...none of my fish have had it since then- so - any new advice /therapy/suggestions on lympho ???

There is no new effective treatment for this viral problem. Most fish will recover on their own if given time and decent supportive care. Any invasive intervention by your part, (topical medications, clipping off of the fin lesions, etc.) will only increase the spread of the virus. I've only seen mortaility in fishes where the Lymphocyctis involved their mouth and caused subsequent feeding issues.
