Hello RC,
Looking for help in this battle with Lyngbya. It looks similar to diatoms but another reefer said it is actually Lyngbya, a form of cyano. It doesn't bubble up like diatoms and it isn't growing on the sandbed like diatoms either.
Below is a short video clip that shows it on the rock work. You'll notice a lot of the Lyngbya floating around because I just scraped it off the entire back wall inside the tank a few minutes before taking the video.
I have a scarus quoyi front and center in the video but notice the Lyngbya growing on the rocks. Suggestions welcomed.

On a side note, if anyone has instructions on how to embed a video file posted on onedrive, please let me know.
