Lyretail Anthias

I've got a 75g DT / 20g sump that I'm planning. I'd love to have 1 female.

However, I've read mixed reviews. Some say they need large aquariums (125+), while others say 50+.

So, questions:

1. Do they really need larger tanks than mine?
2. Do they need to be introduced before any other fish?
3. If I could have one in my tank, would they get along with my other stock?
4. Do they HAVE to be in a group to have in your DT?

My other stock will be:

Occy Clown
Yellow striped Cardinal
Court Jester Goby
Blue Reef Chromis
Hi Fin Red Banded Goby

Thoughts?

anthias need multiple times a day feeding.

they also tend to turn into males, and kill one another.

that's all there is to them ...
try to get 3, 1 male, 2 female. and feed then using a auto feeder. pellets.

This is why I only want 1. I'm not a fan of the multiple feedings, even if it calls for a feeder....but that's something I guess I could deal with.

My biggest concern is tank size. Can I have just one in a 75? I want it to thrive, not just survive.

again, its a small fish, that needs multiple times a day feeding.

with tangs, you are concerned about tank size, that is not the case with anthias.

One female should be fine in that tank. Lyre tails are usually one of the less demanding anthias. I have done well feeding 2-3 times per day.
