Lyretail Anthias

Hello All!

I bought three anthias, two females and one male. I was told they were all eating well at the store and got them frozen food. However, the females do not see interested in either fish eggs, beine shrimp, cyclops or mysis shrimps.

They look healthy and active, but the male keeps harassing and pushing them to the rocks. Its been 4 days already and I am worried now.

I have a 40g tank. 0 ammonia. 0 nitrites and 5ppm nitrates.

Thanks in advance!

If you haven't done so already I would contact the store and find out what they were eating there. As the for the male, the harassing of the females is normal, you just need to make sure that food is getting to them, you can use a turkey baster to blow some of the food into the rocks near where they are hiding. If they still aren't taking to any on the foods you could try some live foods just to make sure they're getting something, live brine is a good treat but doesn't carry much nutritional value.
