That's a huge coris wrasse!! Is he getting along fine with the melanarus? I'm thinkin about adding a melanarus and yellow coris wrasse at the same time..

I have to say that the pictures don't do this tank justice. After seeing it in person I was in awe of how well this tank really looked. The corals are huge, fish are fat and happy. I hope my tank can be as nice in the years to come.

Thanks again for the frags! I will have to make the trip again to get some more off you in the future. Well worth the 4 hour round trip

No problems at all between them. I've had the Mel for a couple years now and I just added the coris a few weeks ago. The coris is slightly larger. The only problem I have is the Mel is a huge bully to anything new and smaller. He also likes to kill my snails. I can pretty much only keep conchs for long periods of time.

All I can say is wow! The middle of last year you had a forest of sps, I love it. I know it was several years ago but do you remember what you did to get your sand to stop being brown.

Just time and sticking to a regular husbandry schedule.

The tank used to be full and required almost constant attention and pruning to keep the battles to a minimum. The colonies ended up growing too fast for me to keep up with so I took a few out to thin them. It doesn't look as good in pictures but in person I like how it is now better. The flow is better, colonies have more room to grow bigger and the fish have a ton more open water.
