Ok I know this is a reef forum and I apologize for going way off topic here. I was just wondering if anyone knows of macros that will tolerate low salinity levels, say 1.006 or in that region.
Most Caulerpa that I've grown will tolerate it if brought down slowly. I don't know what the long-term effects are. Obviously Mangroves will tolerate (prefer) brackish water.
I've tried the plant route but it didn't go too well, even with easy plants listed as brackish tolerant.
I'm not really wanting to go with the mangrove setup. I'll probably set up a 10g with caulerpa from the fuge and slowly lower the SG by a few units per week.
i was looking for some specific barckish macro ... but i found a few web sites that basically say brackish .. marine ... macro don't care. Heres a link where I inferred this information
