Macro algae

Hi!

Im planning to buy the MagnaFuge LED by Innovative Marine for my 16G IM Nuvo tank. But i would like to ask you guys first.

1) Do you think it will make a difference to grow chaeto in such a small tank?

2) How much chateo should I grow for a 16G tank? (tennis ball size?, larger?)

Just a note: Im still cycling with lights off so I havent any cyano or hair algae signs yet. But Im pretty sure I will get a bloom once the lights go on. So I was thinking to grow some macro on the back fuge of my system once I turn on the lights to maybe avoid any algae in the DT.

What I meant was to grow it in the back of my tank where the fuge is. Sorry I didnt make that clear. Besides the questions were if its worth the try and if yes how much of it? Not if they grow in the display tank... which Im guessing they do.

Well I plan on using it, from what I have read by taking a little time to search the idea, yes I think it is worth it, I don't believe you need to start with much more than a tennis ball size as it grows quick..as far as the lights go most people just use a clip on light with a 65000k grow bulb from home depot..

I know what the questions where, but you didn't not give much information about your set up..Which is why I ask the question I did first!!!

Did you end up getting the MagnaFuge LED? Curious if it worked out for you?

I've tried twice now to grow Chaeto in my sump with this light and both times it's browned out and started falling apart. (It may not be the light that is the issue, but at just 6watts, it's my primary suspicion at the moment.) I've attached a pic of the chaeto here, not sure if it shows clearly though.)
