macro in QT?

im treating 2 fish in a 10g QT with hyposalinity(they had ich). its been at 1.009 for about 2 1/2 weeks.

do you think i could put some chaeto in from another tank to help with the filtration? would it be able to survive?

or is this just a bad idea.

I wouldnt do it, the QT should be as sterile and clean as possible IMO. Filtration should be biological, and/or frequent water changes.
