From what I have read, some folks will soak it in vinegar solution, bleach, cure it in a seperate vat. All I did with mine was hosed it down really well and placed it in the main tank dry. I cured it in the main tank seeded with a couple pounds of corraline encrusted live rock and about 10 lbs in the fuge. Added livestock 3 weeks later.

what did you do to your rocks between those 7 month period?
all your rock is covered with corraline algae
I helped spread the corraline with a toothbrush. I took the corraline encrusted rubble and brushed it over with a toothbrush and brushed it on the rock. Good calcium levels helps too. I use a calcium reactor. No other supplements added.
If you love phosphates than you'll love Marco Rocks. I blasted and scrubed this stuff when it came in. Then I soaked them in a vinegar solution for a couple of days. Then I scrubed and sprayed with a hose again. Then I put them in a 70 gallon RubberMaid stock tank along with a skimmer,GFO reactor, powerheads, heater and water changes for 2 months. Still my PO4 was .2 with Hanna meter. Any savings in this rock is lost in the amount of GFO it costs to bring PO4 down to a reasonable level. I'm now down to a level of .04 PO4 3 months later.
Damn ydook, awesome tank! heres mine scaped with marco shelf rock. Same curing method...soaked in a solution with vinegar and water for a couple days, rinsed then soaeked in ro water for about 6 weeks with frequent water changes, then soaked in saltwater from water changes for a couple more weeks. http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1376598
