Macro Shots!

I just gor a 35mm macro lens that I've been having so much fun with lately!

Pretty cool. I like the ladybug pictures, it's interesting how some have no dots.

I cant tell what this last picture is? I think I might like it if I knew what it was supposed to be but for now it just doesnt look right.

Hmm, if I were to take a guess at what the last picture is, I would say it's tree bark... Like it was taken from the bottom looking up towards the top.

But I agree with Recty though... maybe a smaller aperture like F/8 would have helped out that last picture.

All in all good; good shots though.

Some pretty nice shots there. Some of them, like the single strawberry, ladybugs, that dew-tipped. . .whatever that thing is, and a couple others could use a bit more depth of field. f/4 is often times too wide an aperture for macro shots. It certainly worked in some of your photos, but you need to decide what your subject is. Now, your subject doesn't have to be an entire object. . .it could be an eye, a wing, just a couple petals on a flower, or even just a portion of a petal, but that one thing that is supposed to draw the eye into the photo should be in focus and not mostly faded into the fore or background.

its an old work horse but it seems to keep up the pace for now. \

@Recty: Yes the last photo is a close up of some bark on a tree in sequoia national park. I intended to use SDF for the tear drop shape left behind and angled the shot upwards to make the shot even shallower.

gorgeous detail. I bought a fuji s7000 recently and also a 0.45 wide angle lens with macro it is a 52mm but i can't seem to get the detail. Do you take pics of aquariums with your camera and do you have any tips for settings?
