Macro with 2xT5s

Hi all, Will be setting up a macro-algae tank...
Is 2x24w T5s sufficent to sustain macro-algae?

Need some advise..

Depends on depth of the tank to some degree. Most likely you will be just fine. Use bulbs of 10k or less.

Height is around <18inches... Will be using 11k for both tubes... Or should i go for one 11k and one 6k?

What kind of macroalgae will you be growing? Some require more light.
Caulerpa taxifolia or similiar species...
Grape Caulerpa and Parasol Caulerpa...
Maybe a few turf of the maiden hair and some mangrove...
Will depend what i can get here...
Not a lot of selection of macroalgae in my area....
 
I don't think maiden's hair will grow well under that lighting but caulerpa and mangrove should do fine. You can also probably keep red feather kelp, red grape kelp, string of pearls and red kelp. Reds in my experience do better under soft light.

oic... Thanks for the advise... Dont really see much red algae around... So far only saw red grape and red bamboo algae..
