macros and zots

Anyone have a good source for macros for a zot tank? Looking for recommendations on quarantine for macros too...when/how do I know if they are hydriod free? Is a fw dip enough?

Anyone? More focused on the freshwater dip than the vendor...think I found them from another thread, though most the links were outdated...

There used to be a guy in UT who raised "zot safe" macro in sterile systems, but I think he's no longer doing the whole SH thing.

There's no real way to know about 'droids...the FW dip may work, but I think that a dip long enuff to insure that all of the droids are gone would negatively affect the macro.

You might try doing a SW kalkwasser dip using kalk or pickling lime instead, but even that is no guarantee. All that small live food is perfect for droid blooms, and a single drop of water is enuff to cause problems.

Thanks for the info... is there a semi standard amount of time to quarantine after a fw dip, or is it a hit or miss type thing? I'm in no hurry...still learning on the bbs (all my other tanks are really well fed now)...
