Well taking care of sick anemones while half asleep is never a good idea.
Tonight I placed a rather large pvc to fit the foot of a big haddoni as it was not attaching - figured why not and see what happens over night. I placed the foot into the pvc so it could sit upright. I did this before the water change/ fresh cipro.
I have a small rio pump that I use to suck the water out and to put water in, I have a mag 12 with 1" hosing from a brute container where I mix the saltwater for the anemones. Being tired, I did not kink the hose properly to slow the water down and for probably 15-20 seconds (maybe more) the carpet was blown extremely hard where you could see the outline of the pvc through the oral disc (only could see the shape, like draping a towel over a chair and you can see the outline of the chair).
I inspected the anemone and there does not seem to be any noticeable damage yet. Its mouth closed up tight right after the new water entered (something I have seen in a lot of haddonis, but then went back open the same way before the water change).
Did I just do this -> :blown: to its chances of survival by blasting it with that much force while adding water (minus the laughing face)...
