Walking on the beach in SW Florida there are millions of Donax clams just below the surface of the sand at the shoreline,

Arthur, the n. wennerae mantis thinks it's great fun when I drop a half dozen of these little clams (1/2") in his tank. I've never seen him out and about as much as when there's live food to be dug out of the sand.

I wish I had a souce of live food nearby, im still trying to get mine to eat frozen shrimp - only has eaten live snails in my tank so far.

Oh Yeah... I made mine very, very happy also... After trying to take him out of my main for four months I was able to do it with lots of work and patiance. I had him set in my Q tank with some arranged rock and such. Great Neon Green funny creature.

He had been in his tank for about three months.

THe other day I required a couple of rock pieces to stabilize a coral arrangement I made on my main and took them from the Q tank.

Needless to say moments later I saw this little guy peaking at me out of a hole and I could swear I saw him laughing... The little #%*$@.

I totally forgot he was in there when I took the rocks!!

I'm thinking just like these other guys!:D Actually mine will eat about anything, he especially likes PE Mysis. I occassionally feed him feeder ghost shrimp.
