I just got a used mag 7 and it has been working great for the past week or so. This morning around 8am the power on my block went out and stayed out for an hour. when the power turned back on everythign seemed to be ok except for my mag7 return pump. It had stopped working, so i unplugged it cleaned out the impeller and plugged it back in. Still nothing and the pump itself felt very warm.

Is the pump dead or is there something i can do?:bounce2:

Unplug the pump, open it up, plug it back in and try spinning the impellar. See if it spins. If it doesn't, it could be the motor or just a bad impellar. Check the roundness of the magnet in the impellar. If its no longer round, a replacement could do the work. If it is round, then the motor might be bad.

Sounds like the motor is good but be prepared to replace the impellar soon. Restart failure is often caused by difformed magnets. Glad all is well now.
