Indeed, very nice job. Occurs to me that there should be a 'sticky' on this forum documenting the wins, and losses, when running a Mag (or a Gig) through the Cipro treatment. No way to know for sure whether your Mag, or mine, would have survived without treatment - but in my case, certainly, I suspect not.

Oh i agree mine for sure would not of survived the first couple of days in treatment were shaky. But then you could see the turn around but still have to take it slow and will feel better with each week that it does well

Keep the Cipro on hand. These nems are hard to keep health and from my experience pick up infections fairly easy. Ive had mine sense December and have had to treat it twice. Once when I got it and just a week ago. I added another nem to my sump to just hold for a day or two and it passed something to my healthy one. Both were cipro'ed and doing well now

Well I must be tremendously lucky then. I have never QTed any of my anemones in my current system. I have two Heteractis Magnifica in my system. One I've had for over 6 months and the other 3. I have a total of 24 anemones in my 180gallon

My experience has been that once you get a Mag acclimated to your system they are pretty hardy unless you have some significant water quality problems. I'd think in your case the second infection was a direct result of adding the second nem. My advice is once you get a healthy Mag don't try to add another one.

Perhaps you have been lucky! I've had four Mags over the years and only one of them survived long-term without antibiotic treatment. It would be interesting to see some pictures of your tank. What are the 24 anemones?

I have all types

2 Heteractis Magnifica (ritteri's), 2 Stichodactyla Haddoni (carpet's), 1 Macrodactyla doreensis (long tent), and the rest are BTA. A few more pics

Yea he was fine till I added the Condy to the sump without qt. At first I thought it was chemical warfare. I removed both to separate tanks for qt and treatment. then last week moved them both back to there spots and not had a problem sense out of either. So I think the condy gave the mag a infection. I currently have a long tentacle in Qt and on a cipro treatment before I try to add it to the DT.
