mag flake in tampa

when i looked, i never found the mag flake nor could i find the Mrs wages Pickling lime....Has anyone found that locally?

that is what i heard, but i have tried 3 wal marts in different areas and no luck at any of them....i walked each isle. I tried seasonal isles as well with no luck!

I get Mag Flake and Calcium Chloride at Chem-Stat in Drew Park.

I've ordered Mrs. Wages Pickling Lime on-line, just do a search and you will find it.

Chem-Stat will order it for you there phone number is 813 870 2436 . But when I called it was either a 50 or 80 pound bag. I did not need that much. But it was only like 1 dollar a pound. If anyone gets a large bag and wants to sell a little off let me know.

Cheers,
Chris

Ben,
Ball or Mrs Waggs pickling lime in the canning section. I have used both for Kalkwasser with no noticeable difference.

OK, this time i will look for Balls Pickling lime as i cannot find Mrs Wages locally...last time i had to order it on the net.

The 3 Wal Marts i went to i asked the people that stock the shelves as well and they said they never heard of it!

chemstat is the same place I found years ago. again you don't want the flake . randy got flake because he didn't know better so everyone thinks they have to use it. pellets are better in 2 major ways. pellets are cleaner as per the manufacturer. meaning less crap gets in your tank. also pellets stand up a little better than flakes to humidity. if you have a fish tank in your home you have humidity. they will both melt down pretty fast but the pellet is better.
people still use kalk? wow can't believe that either. too each there own, good luck with the search
