Mag Float Magnet for Acrylic?

Anyone use the Mag Float magnet for cleaning acrylic tanks? How does it perform? Does it scratch the acrylic at all?

Thanks!

Kevin

IT doesn't scratch unless you get stuff stuck between them, ie piece of coralline, or dried salt on the outside of the tank. Make sure you wipe the outside clean first, and if you're scrubbing over coralline, break the magnetic field often so the coralline gets released into the water column.

Kevin I bought one of the Piranna Floats from Premium Aquatics. And i love it, although as mentioned make sure you clean it after every use. Also i have noticed that towels scratch the front of the glass. I was wonderign what anyone else is using to clean the front of the glass

i use paper towels and the special cleaner from some place online...just wipe gently...i have no scratches caused by me on the front glass...i do however have a 3 yr old who occasionlly views all flat surfaces as a racetrack...scratches are unavoidable im afraid:( but you can easily buff them out on the outside.

the scratches that i can see, you have to look from the bottom of the tank up, towards the light. Then all you can see is micro stratches
