Mag Problem! Any Suggestions?

Hey guys was wondering if anyone on here had a suggestion on what i need to do... So my mag i believe is a 7 but might be a 9.5 that ive had on my 55 for the past 2.5-3 years was making some rattling noise so i took it out of the sump to see is something was stuck but nothing. I set it up in a 5 gallon bucket to see if it was just vibrating against the sump or there was something wrong with it and the pump was still rattling! :( I took out the screws pulled out the impeller and notice that the propeller was not attached to the magnet other than the pole that goes through them. Not sure if thats the normal way or its broken but the mag is barely pushing any water through it :( and since its my return i need to get it up and running ASAP! Does anyone know if i can just replace the impeller or do i need to replace the whole unit.

If i need a new pump does anyone have a mag 7 or 9.5 for sale?

Thanks in advance
Matt

I had one that seperated like that i dried it real good superglued the shaft back to the mag droped it back in the pump and it worked great

Replacing the impeller is the easiest and most reliable way to fix it. You should be able to pick one up at most pet stores. I think The big chains even carry some parts.

Check the cover to make sure the center that holds the impeller in place is still there. Sometimes that will break off and cause the impeller to rattle around, eventually seperating the impeller blade from the magnet. If this is broken it could be what caused the problem with the impeller. You should be able to get the impeller and cover replaced for less that $15.

Hope this helps!

It is still attached to the bar in the middle on both ends but wobbles left and right...
So It looks like this:

So if i just superglue it in this position it will be a temporary fix until i replace the impeller or it breaks again??

Sorry for the silly questions i just dont have a disposable income right now and if i can do a quick fix with some super glue for now and put off having to buy a new pump for a while it would be awesome! but if its just the impeller needs to be replaced i can splurge the $15 bucks but i have super glue already and would like to get it up and running ASAP!
