Mag12 is this a good pump

Getting a used one for $75 is this a good deal? Was told it's only a week old. DO they put out ton of heat?

Good pump... Decent price if that new... They do produce a fair bit of heat. I've always. Run them externally for that reason

They retail for $159.00 or cheaper if you find a sale. They have a good reputation but I had to send my Mag12 back after less than a year of use. That said they fixed it and sent back to me within 2 weeks. no problems with warranty work. Like the previous poster said they do generate heat.

Good pumps, but energy pigs. You would be much better off long term to consider a more efficient pump for $200 or sometimes less.

I run a hydor 3000 and a speedwave DC pump for half the cost it takes to run my mag 12.

Super reliable, but they are older and are less energy efficient and put off excess heat.

i personally wouldnt run one.....better options out there.
