1" on the output...that may be your problem....near the outlet I would reduce it to give it more pressure. even if you have 500gph at the outlet using 1" its not gonna feel like much.

interesting, if there is a 90 degree elbow that is 1" on one end and 3/4 on the other then I should be all set, and then I think I would own every piece of pvc that they sell at Home Dumpo.

I have to research this whole flow thing more to see what I am really after - if low, wide flow is better than tight, high flow.
