I am David, from Barcelona (sorry for my English. I hope I will improve my skill level thanks to RC..)
David76 was my prior nick in this forum but I was more in a "observation mode"...

Quick introduction: After several years with a planted aquarium, in January 2010 I decided it was time to go for a reef... As many of you, I started with soft and lps corals, and introducing any Sps. After 6 years, in January 2016 I did a reset to the tank. I sold many corals, get out all the sand (I did not find the way to reduce phosphates..) and I did a new aquascaping in order to start a mainly Sps tank (unless I could not resist to keep some Zoas and lps...)

At first I wanted to go bare bottom And I did it for two months. Very good experience in controlling nitrates and phosphates...but Now there is a thin layer of sand...

The tank is 36x28x22. 92 gallons. Normal glass but now I would choose optical...

Light: full t5. 10x39w Ati powermodule

Skimmer: vertex omega 150

Circulation : Tunze 3x6055 and 1 6095 with 7095 multi controller

Cooler: Hailea HC300 with and Eheim compact 3000. The Hailea is at 4 meters from the tank, in the balcony.

Return pump: Jebao dc3000. I will try an Eheim compact 5000..I will tell you the differences in skimmer efficiency I will observe

GFO and GAC in the sump in passive mode.

I keep parameters with aquaforest products (components 1,2,3; coral A, B, E I V)

Very happy to keep my own post and to share with you my tank and experiences ;-)

Pictures...I have "problems" to do good pictures trying to avoid bluish effect...I have discovered an app that allows you to apply many kinds of post filters, so, in each photo I apply the one that fits more to what I see with my eyes...the app is "Filters for IPhone".

By the moment I have try the app with FTS.

First pic was taken yesterday , after adding some new sand in some places. You can see the difference. So white and shinny in the right side...
Two days ago I added and Strombus and a Leopard snail. I hope they do their job..;)

I have suffered an hydroids pest...so I took out the affected rock before they spread over the reef and I redid a little the aquascape...some pics.
