MACNA was a great event, the pittsburgh club did a wonderful job hosting. Herman shot video of the latest innovations to share with the club members who couldn't attend. Dr. Ron Shimeck's presentation was most disturbing, predicting the demise of the coral reefs as early as 2050. Contributing factors being warming, pollution, and most importantly the build up of CO2 in the atmosphere, lowering the PH of our oceans. I would suggest everyone try to find his report on the web.

That said the next macna in Georgia looks to be an even greater event. The reception dinner will be held in Georgia Aquarium, with the whale sharks swimming overhead. Tickets can be purchased online at a great discount of $89.00 until Sept. 30. If you've never been this is the one to see.

Thank you andyr45 I am looking forward to see Herman's video but you got me thinking with Dr. Ron Shimeck's presentation sounds like a must read also puts a lot of pressure to take good care of the corals in our possession, they are not disposable or an endless resource.
