be smart when you do it remove the driver and make sure the power supply is away from the tank to be safe. I was upgrading my buddy's vortech and endend up with his power supply falling in a ro/di bucket so I gave him mine and now I need to order a new power supply $50 plus ship and no vortech till I get it. going to order it latter today or Monday grrr...

Hate to say it but you installed the bearing and drive shaft components wrong. Also, you have an older style wet side bearing and drive shaft (close to two years old in fact) and may really benefit by switching it out to the new style anyway. You would need parts MP101, MP104, and MP105.

No worries, and I really appreciate your effort. I'll work on something Monday to make the installation easier for people.

How do you know if you have the old style bearing and drive shaft? Do you have any pics comparing the two?
