Magnetic Rock Question

I have had a Pokerstar Monti growing on a magnetic rock for about 2 years now - and it has taken over about 3/4 of the rock. I will say that...imo...it is sweet.

Anyway, The magnets do not seem strong enough to hold the rock up anymore. It is the mag rock with 2 magnets in it.

First off, anyone dealt with this before and come up with solutions? Also, if I use stronger magnets on the outside (of the glass), would this help, or would the inside magnets need to be upgraded as well (remember the magnets are in the rock).

I guess I just don't know much about magnets

Thanks

Using a stronger magnet on the ouside will work. Look into earth magnets.. Just dont let it jump from your hand to the tank... they are REALLY strong! It might break if it is glass.

And by earth, docstomper means rare earth, like neodymium. Agree stronger on the outside will help.

I'd grab you one from the millions in my fams factory/warehouse... but i can't throw that far.

I reckon these guys are good in US: http://www.kjmagnetics.com/

A thicker magnet will help more than increasing e.g diameter, assuming its a disc shape. So replacing the outside magnets with thicker ones will help. Also, maybe rubber coated wolud be good...being against glass.
