We're hooking up a Magnum 350 to a turtle tank and need to increase the amount of head the cannister can handel. Any ideas?

I want to increase the amount of head. Right now the cannister is barely pushing any water up over the top of the tank. The tank height exceeds the maximium head that is acceptable to that filter. I put the filter up as high as possible in the stand, but am still having issues.
I would like to be able to use that cannister filter but maybe attach a pump to one of the ends to help handle the head.

Sounds like somethings not right. I have a magnum350 in my qt and it pumps a lot of water. If it was in the basement I could understand. Take it apart and put it back together.

i had some problem with many others with that POS and sent it back where i got it. Total crap, IMO

hmm, i know with my fluval, it works off of siphon, so the pump only keeps it going. Make sure to get all the air out of it. and start the siphon.
