are they a must have? or will i be ok with the mounting brackets. just trying to see if its worth the money for them.

I just bought a 6060 and love it. Then I got a mag, the bracket doesn't hold very well on an Oceanic tank. To me the mag is worth it, you can place it anywhere you want.

I have magnets for everything including the wavebox. I think they are worth the extra $32. However if your tank is RR, you can use the mounts they come with and attach them to your overflows.

I converted all my holding brackets to mags. I highly recommend the mags. They are sweeeet!
