Yet again, hello. I have been told that my tiny friend is a majano anemone, and after a google search I have found them to be considered pests of the aquarium world. Should it be removed? It is only a few milimeters across, and has been in my tank for a few months.
how many do you have? i would say squirt it with fresh lemon juice or alkalinity buffer right in its mouth. and get a syringe to suck the crap out of it
I had them. Joes juice kills them immediately. Do not squish them or you will get five more. Order some joes juice and get a plastic syringe. Joe's juice is like $8 shipped on ebay if your LFS doesnt have it.
on photobucket, there is a Direct Link... Copy that link... Come back here, go to post, there is an icon above with a mountain... click on that, paste your direct link of the photo... Done...
BEAUTIFUL! I'm sorry, I just think they look beautiful!
Lolas boy, Majono anemones come in colors ranging from brown, to red, to green, and even yellow but it is a more rare color. If it isn't a majono, could it be an aptasia?
After a google search, the tentacles appear too short to be aptasia. It is about 2-3mm in diameter, has a olive colored mouth, red tips on the tentacles which are short and bubble like. It is with my Zoas right now. Also my photobucket pic does not seem to be working. Is it?
No need to apologize. I grew these on purpose in their own tank because I liked them. I even used to sell them to the LFS until we collectively determined that they were considered to be a pest. It's all a matter of perspective.
