Making a come back.

I'm returning to the hobby. Last tank I had was a biocube in 2015. I have a 90 gallon with a 36 gallon trigger systems sump. I'm looking for some advice to buy equipment. I need lights, pump, skimmer, controller. Any feedback would be great.

Why a controller?
What type of fish/corals,etc... do you intend on keeping?

Not sure on a budget yet but I would rather get better equipment and take my time then stuff I will have to replace. I had a controller before and it just made life easy. I want a mixed reef. Not sure on what kind of fish.

I too am making a comeback after a number of years away. At this point, I am most focused on lights. I still have a 6 bulb t5 fixture but have toyed with the idea of LED. My only hesitation is cost.

I was face with the same issue. but cost varies depending on how long you think you will be in the hobby. T5 bulbs and Halide are expensive to replace +electricity cost. LED is cheaper in the long run.

My tank is 48in long. I plan on going with the Radion XR15w will two be enough at least to start the tank and I can ad one more later. I also like the Reed Octopus Regal 200int 8in skimmer. Any thoughts??

Your definitely gonna need 2 fixtures. What type of coral do you plan on keeping.

Probably a mixed reef. I'm thinking two fixtures at first then I can add T5 or another Radion. Skimmers are driving me crazy. I'm tossed up with. The Reef Octopus elite 150 int, the regal 150 int, or the vertex omega 150.
