making a new sump.........

Well i got a 40 breeder today and am going to add baffles tommorow.
I think ill do it like melev did in this sump but with glass of course.

Which style are you going with? Return in middle or return on one side?
I did mine very similar to the return on the one side. It works pretty good. I think if I would of made my bubble trap wider it would of kept more micro bubbles out of fuge. You might want to consider putting a Tee in to drain water to where the return pump is too. That way you can control the flow better.

I ended up going with the input/skimmer on the right, refugium in the middle and return on the left. I love it is alot more functional than my old rubbermaid tub.

What did you use for the dividers?

I got some white plexi for free out of the scrap bin at Regal Plasics. I was wanting clear but the white was free, cant beat that.
