Making a ric detach?

My ric dropped a baby then promptly moved halfway off the chunk of LR he was on and half onto the base rock supporting all my other rock. Is there a way to get him to let go so I can reattach him to a larger piece of rock?

He's currently too low and constantly reaching for light. So I need to move him up.

Some have suggested that the use of a power head to increase the flow over the ric will help it detach from a rock. But you have to be careful not give it too much flow or you could damage the ric. Its also a slow process to do it that way. You would either need to be present to catch the ric or set up some sort of a contraption to catch the ric than there is the problem of reattaching the ric to where you want him to be. And that is a another set of tricks or problems. Others would say to just leave him alone and if he wants to move he will move. or atleast he will try and move.

Perhaps you can put it in high salinity seawater rather than regular seawater.
