Making a trip down

I'm making a trip down to the bay area tomorrow and was wondering what the best LFS were? I'm looking for nice yumas, SPS, and live rock. TIA!

Atlantis for cool yumas and sps frags, i go there all the time

I figured we would go the Aquatic gallery and Atlantis, but how about some of the others?

sometimes new alameda aquatic has some cool zoas, rics/yumas, and blastos.. sps was kinda low last time i checked though.. steve is a cool guy, you may want to stop by and check it out..

I checked on the BAR homepage and went through a few of the links. Is the new mermaid any good? Dolphin?

Dolphin is a great store but they recently moved locations. The last time i was there the livestock section still wasn't set up but this was a few weekends ago...Has anyone been recently?

Where can we fin some really good live rock? Pico1 is setting up his new tank.

All About Fish in Pleasant Hill sells, I think, 3 different kinds of live rock, and prices are pretty decent for an LFS. Aquarium Concepts (the new store is pretty cool) also has live rock for sale, as does Aquatic Gallery. I think theirs is $6/lb or so. Connie's Tropical Fish in Castro Valley sells Fiji LR for $4.99/lb if you buy 10 lbs or more - although it's been a while since I've been there.

Mermaid doesn't have a retail location open currently, as far as I know. Last time I went to Dolphin a couple weeks ago, you couldn't walk into their fish section, but if you knew what you wanted, they could get it for you.

The fish room is set up and people can go in but we recently moved the reefs over and they are taking a hit at the moment.
