Making an external overflow for my 50G glass tank

Good job, I gotta drill one of my glass tanks too, *pffbt* not looking foward to that, but I'm just going to cut out a long slit so only need to drill two holes and use the tile saw to cut the straights parts.

use gutter guard to cover those holes to prevent fish or snails from going into your overflow

Will it restrict a lot of flow? I went to OSH last night to look for some kind of net to cover the hole but I didn't find anything I like.

Gutter guard is good. Minimal restriction. I have some if you want. Probably can just mail you a piece in a big envelope.

Here it is on the tank ... I glued it yesterday and today it's already dry..
