Making the build for Nano Tank

Major Mushroom

Hello all!

a few days ago I posted about wanting to build a nano aquarium, and now I am asking for advice on the equipment needed that would make maintenance a tad easier. I'm setting up a 14 gallon aquarium with 2 clowns and a bunch of easy to keep coral. What would be a good list of things I will need and different types of beginner corals?

Thank you!

it all depends on the space you are dealing with. Do you plan on having a sump/HOB refugium? if not that would def help by adding water volume to a small system.

I mean besides the standard items like powerhead, skimmer, lights, heater, there really isnt much you need to add, the one thing I would consider setting up though is a well maintained water-change station, i.e. a 10 gallon or more container maintaining water that exactly matches the parameters of the display (so you need good test kits), if you have this you might even be able to skip the skimmer and just control nutrients with large water changes, of course I would still highly recommend a HOB skimmer.

Coral recommendations depends on what you wanna keep, easy corals in general like softies? Or easy LPS/SPS corals?
