Malaysian Trumpet Snails???

I had a freshwater tank that I turned into a saltwater tank. I had Malaysian Trumpet Snails in the tank and thought that I had removed all of them. Apparently I didn't. I've found a few small ones still alive and moving around in the tank. I'm concerned that if I miss one or more of these guys that they'll become a problem to my clams.

Anyone ever had any dealings with these guys in saltwater? Everything I've found says that they are freshwater only. What gives???

My friend did the same thing he just started pouring salt into his freshwater tank which had tons of trumpets and a couple months later all the trumpets were still going stong and even breeding for that matter. As far as harming anything trumpets are relativly harmless I would think mainly burrow and eat crud. have been thinking about adapting some myself to a tank and seeing what happens longterm, might be cheaper then Nassarius
