male green mandarin for sale

Wow, I picked out a new male for my female and she went for his throat!! I got him out immediately and he is fine but in my sump I dont want him to explode from all the food down there so $10 or trade for frag of something.

How do you tell if they are male or female again...I forget. My green mandarin and target keep chasing each other..... but I think they are just having fun as they are both still pretty healthy...I just don't remember if they are male/female...

Will a green and target try to mate? Wasn't sure of that either.

Fish Maniac has a female green and 2 of the hugest male targets I have ever seen! Bio Reef has 1 female green.
The top fin has an elongated spike, but the females is just rounded.
I dont think the 2 species would mate but that would be cool to see the babies produced!
I was told that two males would fight but my female was out to kill!! I dont recommend adding a second mandarin if the one is established cause she was not about to share her 250+ gallons with him.

I have the two in my 65 gallon. The target was really small when I put it in there..and has since grown ... now they chase each other sometimes...might be that they are trying to establish which area belongs to which...but I've never seen them really go at it... I'll have to look closely and see if I can figure out which they are...m/f

I think there is enough to go around for both of them I always see tons of the little critters they eat swimming around in the LR....

Thanks Carrie! He's a great looking fish and my wife loves him! D$%^ Purple Psuedo is harrasing him a bit but it did the same to her Red Scooter Dragonette and he's fine. She's watching carefully though. Get's too bad and out comes one Purple fish!
