Man! You guys screwed me up again!

I planned to set-up a 75 gal. over the weekend, I got all the parts except for the return pump (took me awhile to decide between pan world & eheim) So I placed an order late Wednesday night, for eheim 1260 return pump since they offer free shipping orders $175 or more I went ahead ordered a few more things (plumbing parts, etc. for back-up) total came to $222.99. The next day (around 8 or 9 in the morning) I sent an email asking if I can add anything else to my order (salifert test kits), he said no order is already been process and cannot be altered but I called anyway to verify he said yeah he can still add to my order (though I know they can't price match salifert test kits) I asked anyway if they can price match on their Salifert test kits "yet", to my surprise he said "yes", so I was quick to tell him to go ahead and add it to my order. Before 2 PM I called to make sure test kits was added to my order, "no" he said "because we could not do the price match so we place a hold to it" (when are you going to let me know?), I said ok fine I'll get it somewhere else. Then around 8 in the evening I went to check my email, I got two emails from Marine Depot, first one saying that they received my order for the Eheim pump but I did not send payment (What! they charge my paypal $222.99 incl. the $119 for the pump) and another one telling me that the pump is back ordered). They could have told me all this when I called in the morning or when I called again before 2PM, but no they took their sweet time.

Now I'm getting a shipment that I don't really need in the first place, I'm really looking forward to this weekend setting up a tank. I will also have 2 50lbs box of live rocks that will rotten and dry in my patio.:(

Something to this effect had happen to me last order also (don't remeber exactly), but they took care of it.

So I called this morning, I told them that I'm just going to return the shipment since this all just fillers to get the free shipping and I don't really need it! She said "sure" we just have to charge you a restocking fee. Also she said I can cancel the back ordered Eheim pump, but then I'll have to pay shipping for the shipment I'm getting today which is the only reason I ordered it is to get the free shipping, are you guys following?

I've spent almost $3000 to this guys (I know it's not much but!..). It's a shame 'cause I really like the price matching & next day delivery since I'm local. I'm really p**st off. I just wish my ordered was handled much better (like you guys always do), but you just lost another customer.
 
sucks they did that but why order some rock when your pluming is not done and tested?

u can just throw that rockinto a big plastic container hook up a skimmer and a few power heads it will be fine till u get a pump.
 
a fellow reefer delivered 50lbs live rocks last night for $85 (too good of a deal to pass) and I ordered another 50lbs from another vendor that will come in today (they want too much for Saturday delivery). I'll look around the LFS first see if they carry Eheim pumps. IF not I'll throw them in the plastic container.
 
Do you have to put a skimmer in with the live rock, or can it survive with just the powerheads? I'm asking "just in case" :-).
 
Don't get me wrong they are usually easy and a very nice company to deal with but lately I've been seeing a lot complain in this forum, now I know how it feels.

Hi Rod,

I checked into your order and that email you received on thursday was actually just a reminder that an item was on backorder. The shopping cart used to place the order actually states whether or not an item is in stock (Item Availability: usually ships the same or following business day) or if it's not in stock (ships in 3-4 days, 1-2 weeks etch) As for the Paypal payment, our accounting group is currently not in (saturday) but i will get back to you monday when i get the information.

As a side note, we do have those pumps in stock now if you can't find it anywhere else.
