Mandarin colorations

Hello, I just purchased a mandarin dragonet today and was wondering how you can tell what "color" it is. I do not know how to differentiate between red or blue or green mandarins. I know the difference between a "green spotted mandarin" and a regular one but would like to know how to identify the specific color that it is. Every mandarin I have ever seen has basically the same color patters so I am clueless as to how you "title" one a "red or blue" mandarin. Thanks!

The red in the upper left photo of the post above is extraordinary. Mine is not nearly so bright, but she is a beauty.

The more common blue are brighter in my opinion.


By the way, they do get along fine!
