Mandarin Dragonet With a Hole In It's Side!

I posted on another forum but would like a few more ideas as quickly as possible so I can treat this little guy ASAP. I've got a Mandarin Dragonet in my 90gal mixed reef. It has been doing well eating and has not been acting irregularly. I just noticed a white hole in it's side just behind it's left fin. The hole is about the diameter of a juice box straw and is about 1+mm deep as far as I can tell. Is this some sort of bacterial body rot??? I couldn't find a similar picture in my brief search, I'm posting rather than searching so that I can more quickly identify and treat the problem. I've removed the fish and have it quarantined. Here are the best pics I could take:

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

Im having a similar problem with mine. One day mine had a small white
bump right by his right fin. Then it got a little bigger..looks like a cotton
growth. I thought he possibly injured himself. Mine doesnt act sick and
is eating. I did some research and I believe what mine has is Lymphocystis.

From Wetwebmedia http://www.wetwebmedia.com/infectio.htm:

Lymphocystis is a viral disease that looks like white to grayish cauliflower-like
clumps, typically at the base of fish fins. It's origins, "cures" and spontaneous
remission are somewhat mysterious. The condition may just "show up" even in
meticulously clean systems.

By itself, lymphocystis is rarely a damaging or fatal problem. In most cases it
"cures" itself by disappearing on the individuals it has "shown up" on in a month or
two of it's appearing.

I would highly suggest asking around and doing your own research. Im not sure
if this is what is wrong with your mandarin.
