Mandarin Goby feeding issues

I have a medium sized Mandarin Goby that is looking thin. I generally try to target feed him mysis but I dont think he is really accepting it. Is there anything I can do to try and make him eat well again?

They typically eat live pods.. They can destroy a tanks population quite fast if it's not a larger tank or established refugium on it. You should really think of buying live pods to seed the tank for it to thrive.. Reefs to go sells them as does marine depot and quite a few other places.

How big is the tank? How old? Do you have a refugium for pods to reproduce? You should do some research on the fish in general as they are usually pod eaters although some do eat prepared food. I had one for almost 5 years that ate brine. Mysis was too big for him to eat. Lost him to a carpet surfing accident:-(

My guess is he demolished the pod population and it needs to be replaced. And most likely will have to be restocked frequently if there is no refugium for them to reproduce. They literally can eat a pod every few seconds so do the math that's a lot of pods per day. Good luck and do some research here on RC and google for dragonet fish feeding.

The thing is when I got it, it was accepting frozen foods whenever I fed it. Where can I buy live pods? I see it picking at crevices as well as the food so I assume it eats both. It is a 46 gallon, well established reef tank.
