does anyone know where i can get a breeding pair of mandarin goby?

males and females are readily distinguishable. Thats how everyone else is doing it.
Captive bred mandarins are far and few between

they feed on microrganisms like copepods and need a large well established tank

You can train them on prepared foods as long as you have a place to start them out on adult live brine. I have trained more than one mandarin onto prepared foods. I used the same method as Matt Pedersen and Matt Wittenrich who had the article in last months coral magazine. If you want me to post it up LMK. Once you train the fish on prepared foods they are an awesome fish in a nano, so easy to feed. Mine takes formula 1 small pellets, mysis and rods food no problem.

Phins, that beautiful fish requires A LOT larger established tank w A LOT more LR than you currently have. Most of all of us have made this same mistake. Wait until you gain some more experience and a larger tank.

YOU DON'T NEED A LARGER TANK!!!!!! YOU NEED TO TRAIN THESE FISH ON PREPARED FOODS!!!! I've got a female living in a 15g tank but she eats pellets, rods and mysis like crazy. If you don't want to take the time to train this fish then yes you need a HUGE tank with little or no fish that will eat pods.

Yea could you post that article dude thats real interesting.. And ive heard of people training them to eat other things besides copepods as well.. If the article can teach me more about how to do it, it would be a big help.. thanks
