what is the best way to train a Mandarin Dragonett to eat mysis shrimp???

i don't have enough pods for him and want him to eat mysis

Glue some live pods to the brine,or it might eat something whene he starving just try differant type of food from flake to frozen and cyclops but i think the glue part best.

Not funny i know but question just as entertaining.I would remove and use as a learing lesson to research before purchase.

Even if the mandarin takes to the mysis (which is unlikely) it will still starve to death. They need to graze. Thats what they do all day and night.
ihavtats29 suggestion is your only real option.

Need a fuge. Best chance would be to buy some bottles of pods. Get some rubble and pile it in a corner of your tank and start the pods there, then spot feed the pods and hopefully the mandarin figures out to go to the rubble pile for food and you may be able to start feeding it there.

Just give up, my Marderin was starving to death in my 2 year old 225lb LR, 30gal fuge/sump system. I have him know in the fuge area full of pods. YOU cannot keep a Manderin in a 14gal Biocube!!! Just that simple!!!!! You people really must not read, go here daily and read all of the threads with everyones cry story, about there bad RODI unit that they bought of of Ebay, there Tang problem in there small tank, there Purple Up problem, ect, ect ect!!!!!!!!!

What kind of glue do you recommend?
Also, the pods keep sticking to my fingers before I can get them on the brine, what technique do you use to get the pods on the brine and not on your fingers?
Have you ever tried tape?

3M spray glue works great spray pods and mythis with glue toss in a zip lock bag , give a few shakes and presto instant pod coated mythis

Something like a filter sock or amount of flow or what type of food and scedule added.

Yea I'm afraid you should just take the Mandarin back to the LFS where you bought it, or it's eventually (probably much sooner than later) going to wither and die in your tank. 14g biocube is absolutely too small for this fish. I know the biocubes look like a great tank to dip into the hobby with, but it's very important to be aware of their limitations. Before buying another organism for that tank, get the advice of a knowledgeable reefer if you don't want to find out the hard way...

We only mean well though it maynot sound like it. :)

Measure 3 times and buy once will save alot of money.

you can't train them to eat anything, you'll just get lucky if they do. anyway don't feel too bad, my LFS sold me a pair for my 20 gallon i had up for about 6 weeks. they died after about a month or so i think.
