manderins

ive got a green manderin in my tank(a month or so) and after i upgrade(75-90gal) and get my tank settled for a month or so i want to get a spotted manderin, but because the manderin i have now is a male ill have to get a female...question is will they crossbreed or is this whole thing a bad idea?

They will not crossbread. Two copepod eaters in that sized tank is problematical.

green manderin is eatin frozen and seems to like it

Yeah, right. All of my mandarins eat frozen and most eat pellets but mandarins are grazers and poor hunters. They would starve if only given frozen once a day even assuming there were no other fish to snatch their food.

well i feed them 3 times a day frozen until i can get a good pod colony going

everytime i've tried to add a green mandarin to my tank that has the spotted in it,the spotted would attack it very aggressively...even when the green one was twice it's size...now i've ended up with 3 mandarins in separate tanks

lol gotcha, i might just find a female green then and pair them up
