Had a deal on a light go bad. This guys pm's saying he has a tek for sale. On Jan 29th I paid Matt $175 for the light. Said it would get shipped the next day. Still no light, no tracking and now no communication at all.

got his phone number. A threat to send his relatives info to the police and all of a sudden I had a tracking number for today. It's a miracle I tell ya.

do you know where in nj he was from? there was a guy on the njreefers.org site selling a 8x80 tek lite recently not sure if its the same guy or not.

this is a 36" light. He sent me a photo of the tracking slip. Light is due here Monday.

I always pay with a US Postal Service money order. It's amazing how fast something gets shipped when you remind them that mail fraud is a federal offense and enforced by the Federal goverment. Not the overworked and under paid local police. The best .95 cents you could ever spend IMO.

Did you pay through Pay-Pal? If so file a complaint through them.

It's a little late now, but you should always do a search of the username before dealng with someone, buying or selling. Also search the other popular sites as well as RC since alot of people have the same or similar usernames.

I caught up to him through other sites. Someone was able to give me his phone number and confirm his identity via facebook. Then found parents and relatives. Texted him some names of relatives and told him I was giving their names and info to the police to begin looking for him. Light was in the mail within a couple of hours.

Guess I've become to trustworthy with reefcental. I'll definitely do my homework a little better after these last two deals.

yes...had to do a major cleaning before I could use it. Paint chipping off legs and some other small minor details that were not mentioned. Nothing to warrant messing with seller any longer.
