Manfrotto 394-H Tripod??

Im on the quest for a good beginners tripod. I prefer not to purchase the legs/head separately, as I'm sure it will be more expensive. I'm a total NOOB and simply planning on using this tripod for aquarium photography only. Is there any reason why I shouldn't purchase the tripod listed below. Oh, my DSLR does record video as well, incase that makes a difference.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Cheers!

The one you linked is perfectly fine (and probably a bit of an overkill) for aquarium photography. You only need those expensive tripods with very stable heads if you scrutinize your photos at 100% to look for minimum signs of camera shaking and/or do very long exposure photos.

This post couldn't be more wrong.

Those legs are fine, the head will annoy you, however. Chek the tripod stcky, it should help the descision process.

I have a manfrotto with a ball head. I really like it because it allows me to take pictures sideways as well.
