Mangrove Tank question.

I looking at moving my Mangroves to their own Tank, So ill need to plumb it into the System...

How much flow should i put through it?

Ill be adding a Deep sand bed aswell to the Tank.

I would like to use a inturnal pump, to help with the winter months.

Tank size is a 20G long.

I do not think flow matters. The plants' metabolism will dictate it's need for nutrients and they will extract what they need regardless of the flow.

ok, Sounds Good. I was thinking a Mag 3 or something.

I have mine w/ low flow refuge and floating. they have grown very well that way for me

I have lots of flow going though my mangroves and they do great. I dont think it really matters tho. You will probably be just fine with a mag 3

Can you post some plan pics of how you would plumb this? I was thinking about doing something like this but can't figure out a good connection.

My set up is a bit odd,

From my DT goes to a 40G breeder , For Skimmer,Reactors, The drops down to my Fuges/Sump

Fuge 1 is a 4 chamber 40G LR/Cheato/Mangroves.
Sump is 3 chamber LR/CHeato/UV to Blueline return pump.

In Fuge 1 in the middle I have my Mangroves, I plan to drop a Mag 3 in their, Pipe it to the other end of my DT, where i have my 20G long for the mangroves, The dump back into my return chamber.

I have one tall mangrove (I picked from under my dock) jutting out of my overflow.
