Mantis Conspiracy...

So, needless to say, it's been a bad morning!

Yesterday, while i was sitting at my computer in the kitchen (on RC of course!) i look over to see one of my cats batting at the strip light i have above my 10 gallon mantis tank(C. Dubia). He was batting at it so much that the double-sided tape i had it stuck on there with was starting to come loose. So i quickly shooed him away and replaced the tape with a fresh strip and left myself a note to put a screw up later...

Well, i wake up this morning to find that the entire light fixture was submerged into the tank and a foul smell of briny shrimp cocktail throughout my kitchen. I guess the cat had finished the job and assassinated my mantis and his peppermint shrimp friend.

...Like i said... bad morning!

R.I.P. my friend!

Bummer, sorry for your loss. I have cats too, and as Stephen King says they are the Gangsters of the animal world.

Don't kid yourself the cat didn't do it! It may have been knocked loose and it just dropped into the tank during the night. By the way my eyes are tearing from the odor that i can't get out of the house.

Mmmmmm...sorrie i would kill the cat... a Cloridopsis dubia is a rare find and since you got it your self meaning a FREE rare find. I'd kill the cat but thats just me but dude so very sorry!

It's all speculation from my standpoint, i say we put the cat in the bathtub and drop a toaster in... just saying. Next time Sam decides to play with light fixtures, maybe he should smack the halide a few times and see where that gets him...LOL

Don't fool yourself, you're eyes are tearing from the loss of you best mantis friend! LMAO!

I like the zebra mantis better. Sam would enjoy hitting the halide don't kid yourself. I will admit he is an evil little creature at times but I don't think it was him. It was probably Tux trying to get the blame pined on Sam.
