Well after much debate I need to start looking for a new home for one of my Mantis's. I got a new roomate and need the space the tank is takeing up, getting his new tank built is just going to take a little to long. The Mantis came free from SITC and is healthy and eating well. When well fed he hasnt went after clean up crews at all, skip a meal and hes all over the snails:) He has a piece of rock slightly bigger than a softball that he lives in, chances are we wont get him out so you can have the rock to. If you wanna bring a frag or chunk of rock to trade for the rock thats cool, but you dont have to.
If you need a tank I can sell the tank he is in, its a 8 gallon nano with a PC lighting fixture. It has a maxi jet for flow and no other filtration, the sand, LR and biweekly h20 changes have kept it looking good, one small HA outbreak after Mack ate the snails but other than that nothing bad. Picks of the shrimp can be seen at http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=952700&highlight=ID+needed as well as his species. He may not be as colorful as a peacock but hes got tons of character. Local pickup only, Ill keep him before I risk shipping but thought Id see if anyone wants to give him a home

shipping a mantis is really quite easy and they ship really well acctually. If you do not end up finding him another home and just have to get rid of him, let me know and I will be glad to pay for shipping, and cover any other cost(s)

ZC: If I dont find a local hes all yours!

Keithntracy: Ive got 75 into the tank, lights and powerhead. Ill includea couple chunks of LR and the sand, as well as some Xenia frags if you want them Make me an offer Im sure we can work something out. Also im not against trades if you have anything I can use.

i have had some trouble locating a peacock, but would like to speak to you about your mantis, i sent you a pm.

congrats, cozart. when you get a chance post a pic of the whole setup. I've never really seen a mantis shrimp setup.
