Mantis in QT Tank/Frag Tank

For more than two years I have had a little two inch green guy smasher that hitchhiked on my TBS liverock. Has been in a 10 gallon with some live rock Xenia, GSP, and whatever other "things" I want to remove from the main tank.

What I am wondering...I would like to move him to a 29 gallon and use it as a frag and quarantine tank. Would he pose any problems to fish I might want to QT in there?

I plan on running the tank with live rock, sand/crushed coral bottom. It would be the mantis home, with a few guests now and then.

I am all but certain my mantis could fit through eggcrate? But, you are suggestion some sort of tank division?

If your gonna QT fish in the tank your better off going bare bottom no rock, this way if you do add a fish or a coral with with an issue it will not move into your sand bed

They can. It depends on the species and the individual. Yours, hitchicking in on TBS probably will leave most fish alone. I kept an N wennera (TBS matis) with damsels and corals, but it killed a Yllow Watchman Gobie and I suspect it in the death of a dwarf lion.
