mantis mushrooms?

I saw an ebay auction(well 2 of them) while searching for mantis shrimp for a "large mantis mushroom" What is that? A specific species or a marketing ploy? If it helps, one was green the other was purple.

I saw them too. I had to laugh at their creativity. Maybe I will come up with my own names for mushrooms if and when I decide to sell them.=) Many zoanthids have been catalogued and given their own names according to their color, but I'm not aware of any such system for mushrooms. It's pretty much whatever someone feels like calling them.

LOL... I also saw that. I love the dishonesty involved with selling mushrooms on eBay, especially when they make up names or put "ricordia" in the auction title when it clearly isn't one (people would undoubtedly be fooled into thinking it is) just to get more views. That auction is guilty of both.
